Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Taverneer (the “Service”), operated by Taverneer, a United States–based provider. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Taverneer is a platform for building, managing, and sharing tabletop roleplaying campaigns, shops, worlds, maps, and related content, including AI-assisted content generation. Players may browse and shop via share links you create.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service and able to enter into a binding contract to purchase a paid subscription. Authentication is provided through Supabase Auth using Google OAuth or an email magic-link. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.

4. Subscriptions, Billing & Trials

Certain features require a paid subscription billed through Stripe. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored by Taverneer. Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change plan pricing with reasonable advance notice.

5. AI-Generated Content

Content generated through the Service is produced by third-party AI models — currently Google Gemini and OpenAI, and other AI providers we may engage at our discretion — based on your prompts. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to output generated for others. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before using it, and it is provided “as is” without any warranty of accuracy, originality, or fitness for a particular purpose.

6. Your Content & Conduct

You retain ownership of the campaigns, maps, items, and other content you create (“Your Content”). You grant Taverneer a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and the players you share it with. When you choose to publish or share content for others to view or fork — for example through the Realms marketplace or a share link — you additionally grant Taverneer and other users a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to access, copy, fork, and use that shared content. A fork is an independent copy owned by the user who creates it; accordingly, you understand and agree that deleting your account or content removes your own private copies and unpublishes your shared versions, but does not delete or retract copies that others have already forked or saved, and you cannot revoke that license as to copies already made. You agree not to use the Service to violate any law, infringe others’ rights, upload harmful or abusive material, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service or its AI systems.

7. Intellectual Property

The Taverneer application, its branding, and its underlying software are owned by Taverneer and protected by intellectual-property laws. Any third-party names, games, or marks referenced by content on the Service are the property of their respective owners; Taverneer is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third-party providers, including Supabase, Stripe, Google, OpenAI, and Vercel. Your use of features powered by these providers may also be subject to their respective terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taverneer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Taverneer operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The specific governing jurisdiction will be confirmed as part of the pending legal review noted above.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
